Environment speaks loudly to children and families, and directly impacts our ability to provide quality services to our young students. The Bronx is our largest school, serving 236 children annually through 21 classrooms. Thanks to the generosity of our community, all but one of our Bronx classrooms have been sponsored! By sponsoring the remaining classroom, you have the power to underwrite a complete refurbishment - including new flooring, paint, and lighting. You will receive a plaque and site visit upon completion of your classroom.
What will the impact of your gift be? Here's Brian, the teacher in our first classroom to be refurbished by a generous donor:
“I’ve been at Kennedy for almost two years, but moving into this classroom felt like a clean slate. With so much going on in the classroom, it makes a huge difference being in a fresh, new space. It gives a sense of calm even on the craziest mornings, and it lets me focus on the kids – which is why I’m here! People are always saying they wish they could be in this classroom. It would be so nice for all the classrooms to be like this.”
Thanks to a generous donor, this classroom got new flooring, fresh paint, and new bathroom fixtures. New windows and light fixtures will be installed this spring.
