Kennedy Children's Center (KCC) is expanding our successful Grow Your Own (GYO) Teacher Assistant Training Program by launching GYO 2.0: a college support program that empowers certified teacher assistants to enroll in college and obtain an undergraduate degree in early childhood education from the City University of New York (CUNY).

Program Benefits:

The GYO 2.0 program will:

• Help you enroll in at CUNY, apply for financial aid and enroll in courses

• Fund tuition costs not covered by financial aid

• Provide personalized services based on your needs (tutoring, child care, transportation, etc.)

• Support your personal and professional growth so you can stay in school and reach your goal of attaining a teaching degree from CUNY's well-respected teaching program.

Participants must:

• Be New York State certified teacher assistants.

• Be committed to obtaining an undergraduate degree in early childhood education. Participants who wish to pursue a different degree are not eligible for this program.

• Be willing to enroll at the City University of New York (CUNY). Participants who wish to enroll in a non-CUNY college program will not be eligible for the program at this time.
